Hello, I hope this finds you well. I was told that I was to give periodic reports on my findings and adventures here on Aether. I'd like to start off by saying thank you for the gift of 10k credits. I don't think I would be alive right now if I didn't have those, but that will be covered later in my report.

To start off our journey on Aether meiser decided to pick the... most intellectually challenged individual on our team and appoint him as leader, which I'm happy he didn't pick me because I've always been the idea maker and not the decision maker, but I hope Wrex's leadership won't bring us too much troubles in the future. We then went off to find our new home which used to be another poor group home. After many difficulties crossing some of the terrain by foot we then had a very close encounter with a Gretcheir. Luckily we all were able to hide pretty well and I had the bright idea to toss one of my message boxes to distract it away from us and give us enough time to escape.

Afterwards we finally found our ship! It was half sunk into a very thick bog, but after a close inspection seemed to be in perfect working order. Unfortunately I think there must have been an issue with the exhaust pipe being submerged because as soon as I turned her on it blew up and nearly killed one of our team members. I immediately went to go help but in my haste I slipped and fell into the bog. While I was trying to free myself of the bog and others were focused on our heavily injured cleric, one of our team members tried to murder me. I don't know why, but the psychopath decided to shoot me and strangle me with magical vines.I luckily broke free of his vines to avoid drowning, and I guess that's when he realized he needed to jump in and finish me off himself. We wrestled in the bog for a couple of seconds and he stabbed me in the shoulder, deep enough that the knife stayed firmly in place throughout the rest of the scuffle. By this time the rest of our team had managed to realize something was happening. They helped both of us out of the bog, and seeing his dagger stuck in my shoulder, Tom quickly toar it out of my back to hide any evidence, but I don't really remember much after that because after the dagger was removed I quickly started to lose blood and passed out. When I came to, our cleric was standing over me. And Tom Aito was off skulking in the corner. I planned on reporting his actions as soon as we got back to the Hub, but luckily he didn't make it that far before Aether got to him.

Unfortunately all of our commotion led the gretcheir we had previously escaped right to us, and this time he was pissed and brought friends. We hid inside the ship and radioed for help on the line that you gave me which was the only radio frequency I knew. After offering your gift of 10k credits as a reward someone quickly came and scared the gretchier off. He helped get our ship out of the bog and stayed with us until I was able to get it operational again.

On the way back we were only a couple miles from the Hub when Tom Aito who was driving got snatched by a nightStalker(the ships windshield was completely shattered when we found it), I wasn't really that upset, until mieser later told us that murderous psychopath's death would cost us 2,000 credits! After Tom got eaten we waited the night in the hermetically sealed inner chamber of the ship and then started making our way back to the Hub in the morning, on the way we met a pretty shaken up fellow named Rick, who asked if we could escort him to the hub. He looked pretty shaken up and like he had been up all night fighting off god knows what out there alone so we took pity on him and helped him out.

After arriving at the hub we settled on the company name of the unlucky company due to the extremely poor luck we had getting to this point, we got our ship fixed up and then we settled on a hunting license and took our first job to hunt the night stalkers who killed Tom. On our way out for our first hunt we noticed Rick's little walker vehicle parked abandoned on the side of the road. We hopped out to say hi, only to realize his vehicle had been stripped of almost all of its parts and was severely damaged. We did a quick lap around the building and saw a man beaten almost until his last breath lying in the garbage. It turns out that Rick had gone to sell an expensive artifact to Meiser, but because he didn't have the proper licenses he couldn't sell it so he tried to sell it to the ironback company who instead of doing proper business stole it, robbed him of everything he owns and beat him within an inch of his life...

We fixed him up as best as we could and put him and his walker in our ship, then headed out for the hunt. On the way a new member woke up from our cryo chamber, but died within 12 hours. It was almost supernatural, as if he had pissed off a great being of power and fate. I just wish that being would also throw us the 2k credits for his death... Currently we are outside our prey's nest, waiting for nightfall when we will ambush. I had a lot of free time today and a lot has happened since we woke up so I made this report a little bit longer than normal. This place isn't really what I expected, but I'm adapting and I hope all will go well and I'll still be around to send you another report soon.

Signing off
